TTP provides transport planning & highway design consultancy services to the property development industry. We support developers, landowners, funds and tenants to add value to and manage their assets. We collaborate with architects, planners and other professionals to achieve successful outcomes on development projects.
From scheme feasibility, through planning, detailed highway design or expert witness, our core product is the preparation of material to support a development proposal, namely Transport Assessments/Statements, Travel Plans, Delivery & Servicing Plans and Construction Traffic Management Plans, underpinned by the strength of a commercially aware team of highly committed staff.
TTP is currently engaged on a wide variety of development proposals across the London Boroughs and throughout England in the residential, commercial, retail, leisure, hospitality and education sectors including a number of mixed-use schemes in challenging locations.
TTP advised Berkeley Homes in securing permission for the significant regeneration of Malt Street, part of the Old Kent Road Opportunity Area. With delivery in phases, the scheme will provide over 1,400 new homes, 7,000 sqm of commercial and retail space, new play areas and a substantial area of public realm.
We were delighted to support Surrey County Cricket Club’s plans to increase stadium capacity at the Kia Oval by 7,500 seats and create additional hospitality and conference areas, a new café, club shop and ticket office. TTP analysed spectator arrival times and travel modes, prepared assessment material to accompany the planning application, undertook the detail design of the highway works for the new access arrangements and assisted with construction traffic management approvals. TTP provided transport planning advice to Red Door Ventures and subsequently to Populo Living to secure approval at the Plaistow Hub a twin site residential-led mixed-use development on land either side of Plaistow Road, and adjacent to the underground station. The project will deliver over 180 new homes with retail, gym and community uses at street level. We also advised Populo in respect of transport related construction matters and pre-construction issues including a stopping-up application.
A Transport Assessment considers the effect of a development on local transport infrastructure, identifying the impact of changes in demand for travel and recommending mitigation measures where appropriate, such as travel plan initiatives or physical improvements. A Transport Assessment is required for all major schemes, with applications for more than 150 homes or 7,500sqm of floor space also being the subject of referral to Active Travel England, where a development will be reviewed for its potential to achieve a high proportion of trips to be made by walking and cycling.See All Services
A Transport statement is a ‘lighter touch’ version of a Transport Assessment where it is agreed that the transport impacts arising from a development proposal are limited and will not require a detailed assessment.See All Services
